The edited section confronted prosperity theology, which teaches that faith and donations to religious causes will increase one's material wealth. Given the importance and sensitivity of this topic, we want to be clear that Eden church teaches that, while Christians are called to be generous with their money, God makes no link between our material prosperity, our spiritual condition, and our financial support of Christian ministries.
