“My Covid Experience” A Photographic Exhibition

12th – 14th November 2021: Stanwell Church Community Hall

Opening reception 7.30pm Friday 12th November

Are you a budding photographer? Or an old pro? Or neither but have some great pictures on your phone (or camera) which you took during lockdown? Why not pick your best one and submit to the “My Covid Experience” photographic exhibition.

We hope that this event will help people both commemorate some of the sad experiences of the time of Covid whilst at the same time looking ahead in celebration to a time of rebuilding and re-connecting.

Eden church is opening the doors of Stanwell community hall for the photographic exhibition over the weekend of 12th -14th November and the photo exhibition will be on display during these times:-

Friday 7.30pm (opening) – 9.30pm
Saturday 10.30am – 4.30pm
Sunday 10.30 am – 3pm

When you come to visit and are sharing in others’ lived experiences, why not have a cuppa and re-connect with others.

Taking Part in the Exhibition

The Theme of exhibition is “My Covid Experience” entries are open to however you interpret the experience we have all undergone during these testing times. This will be an exhibition rather than a competition.
The exhibition will take place from Nov 12th opening at 7.30pm – closing on Sunday 14th November at 3.30pm 

The Venue is the Church Hall of Stanwell Baptist Church off Victoria Road, Penarth.

Exhibits need to be A4 size in any photo format of your choice i.e. Gloss, Matt, Black and White etc. 

Entries to be received by Sunday 7th November. Photos to be posted through the letter box of Stanwell Rd Baptist Church Hall, Victoria Rd or handed in to the main church sanctuary on Sundays 5pm – 6.30pm in an envelope marked “photo exhibition”.

Please put your name and phone number on the back of the photo. Please also include your email if you wish to receive further invites to photo competitions we plan to do in the future. 

Please only submit  one entry per person.

You may include a title for the photo and/or a short comment about the subject, no more than 30 words either typed of clearly written.

Photos will be ready for collection after 3.30pm on the 14th or at any evening church service 5-6pm until the end of November. Any photos unclaimed by then will be disposed of.

You will be invited to sign a book of condolence when you visit the exhibition. If you are unable to attend in person but would like make a comment you will be able to access an online Book of Condolence through the Eden Church website.

Commemoration Services

We will be conducting two commemoration services on Sunday 14th November at 10.30 am and 5pm both held in Stanwell Road Baptist Church. The service will include times of silent reflection, readings, music and prayers. The morning service will also include a traditional remembrance service reflection.

Personal Reflection and Prayer

The Church will also be open for silent prayer and reflection during the following times:
Friday 7.30pm (opening) – 9.30pm
Saturday 12pm – 4.30pm
